Each garment is individually hand dyed with ice. This dyeing technique combines art and chromatographic chaos. This process uses dye powder and melting ice to split the colour into its components as it binds to the fabric.
This results in a totally unique design every time!
All items can be made to order in inclusive sizes (xs - 6xl) and I offer custom dye choices upon request.

Hi! I'm Kay, the creator behind Twisty Trees Art.
Based in Fife, Scotland.
I’ve always been a free spirit and have put creativity at the very center of my life. I feel most comfortable in nature and my art is directly inspired by the natural world. Twisty Trees started in 2018 as a name for my digital artworks, which mainly focus on trees but I am also inspired by animals and the human form.
I started to experiment with fabric dyes at the end of 2021 after being inspired by the tie-dye community and my art and fascination for colours has since been evolving into this multi-faceted space to express myself!
The art I create is a form of meditation and healing for me and I'm endlessly grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day.
